The vast History
IMC was conceived in 1993 following a traumatic period that highlighted many flaws in the history of the Gulf region. One of them is health care. It took years of careful planning and design to catch on to the ambitious dream of building a hospital that would reverse medical tourism. Looking back now, the first step was the most difficult, but it was a very rewarding trip for all participants. A series of studies were conducted, thoroughly checked and critiqued. Between 1998 and 2001, the founder gathered the valuable opinions of more than 80 consultants in various specialties, and realized cooperation with a construction company specializing in health care design.
At the provincial level, IMC was accredited by November 2017 (CBAHI). The primary function of CBAHI is to establish standards of quality of care and patient safety by which all health care facilities are assessed for evidence of compliance. The hospital was accredited by (JCI) to assess the quality of health care services in hospitals and had the highest success rate in the region in 2008. The hospital received its second accreditation in 2011 to achieve an unprecedented success rate. And 3rd certification in 2014. 4th from January 2017 to January 2020 in a consistent success rate.
